New hammies!!

Hi all

just thought I would let you know we have 2 new additions to our family!
After Halo passed away recently her empty cage has been quite upsetting - so we did plan to eventually get another hammie...
we went out yesterday just to get saw dust and came back with two hammies too!!!! One each!
So now we have 4 hammies in total! :D

When we got them we were told they were both female - turned out the brown one was male! Shock!
Had to ring the pet shop up this morning and warn them they had same sex in the same cage - told them to check them all out! :mad:

Anyway the cream and white one is mine and she is female and we have called her angel and the brown male one hasn't a name yet! so please any suggestions welcome! :D

Here's a pic of when they arrived home! Just about to be seperated and settled into their new homes!(before we knew they were mixed sex!) I hope Angel isn't pregnant! they do seem to young to know about that but I am probably wrong!

cute pictures!!!! were did u get them??Did a world wide pet shop tell u that they were both femals(petco,petsmart)???Or was it just a local petshop???Names how about bear,chip,Hershey,Reese.

Hiya

I got them from a big pet store in the UK called Pets at Home.
I rang them this morning and told them to check all their hammies sex! They were grateful I let them know.

Thanks for the name suggestions - like them...
My partner has now named him Deuce... odd I know but its after the film Deuce Bigalo have you seen it? With Rob Sneider.

The reason why was because he has probably been having a good time with all the female hammies before he came to us!! hehe! =)

yeah true. how long were they in the same cage??? for a night right??? Did u see anything going on??? Unless they did it at night.

well they were in the cage at the pet shop together will a load of other hamsters - might of been even more mixed sex hammies - and they said at the pet shop they were new arrivals- also someone else on another forum has mentioned that he thinks they look far too young to have mated judging by how small they both are. So we'll have to wait and see!
