can my gerbil put into my hamster cage?

my gerbil is a male and my dwarf hamster is a female so ,can there put together? i scare they mite fight:argue:

Not only could they fight but one or both could be killed. I would not put them together. I also have dwarf hamsters and gerbils. I do have the cages next to each other but I would never try putting two together. I know of someone who tried a mouse and hamster.....they killed each other. Hope all goes well with your pets. I think it is so cool that you asked before doing it. Marianne
