Very wet sponge! [Archive]

I would like to know ,if that is good for my hermit Crabs to have very humidy sponges ( 2 sponges filled with water!)and I hope have not a bacteria problem.He has there 85% of humidity in the aquarium.

85% humidity is too high if its relative humidity. Try to keep it between 70-80%

Sponges definitely harbor bacteria. Take them out and let them dry THOROUGHLY, then pop them in the microwave for a few seconds. Alternate between the sponges. Put one in the tank and use the other to replace it when you are cleaning. Do this weekly.
