Hello all,

Need some hamsters advise. ;)

I have a male dwarf hamster. He was very normal, slight plump and very active, but he suddenly grew really really thin at one moment and it lasted for about 2 weeks. Then he gained weight again. Becoming plump and active again.

Though, gaining his weight back, he has become a little weird, because his head become tilted. It seems like it has become a permanent thing. Whenever he walks, runs, or does anything, his head is tilted slightly. He tends to fall down more often too.

Nevertheless, he is still as active, runs the wheel, very loving to his female cage mate, still has very good appetite, and very greedy, very playful and sleeps like a piglet.

Any idea what caused his head to be tilted? Is it stroke?
Any thing i can do to make him 'well' again?

Please keep advise pouring in. Thanks.

Hello foam,

My little hamster is fine and has recovered from his 'thin-ness' now. He is very healthy and plump now.

I just want to find out what caused his head to be tilted. I am just confused.

Your best bet is to call a vet or look online to learn more about a stroke. Has he fallen from a high place?
