I am looking to adopt black squirrels, (solid black, or black with red tails preferred) or white (not albino). I love these adorable guys, and I promise to love them bunches and give them a wonderful home with room to run and play. Preferred in Missouri so I could drive to pick them up. Will take "bothersome" or "problem" squirrels that need to be relocated from your yard, as I can retrain them with time, but I'd prefer to have a hand-raised kit or three. Willing to help any way I can to make everyone's life easier, (especially the squirrel's) and I love squirrels. *smile*

I have wanted a squirrel for a pet ever since I found a baby abandoned in the center of a country road near my home a couple of years ago. He wasn't weaned, and I tried to save him, but he was just too little. He smelled like rotting, so I think his parent must've gotten hit by a car or something. *cry* so sad.. I want a squirrel because of their ease of care, but also because I can let them have the run of the house like a cat or dog after the acclimation period to me and their new home. Also, when I go on a weekend business trip, I can keep a squirrel with me while I travel, or leave it home with a sitter, or leave it home in it's roomy cage with extra food and water, and not have to worry about it's sanity when I get back.(refrence to my last dog) There are no laws against squirrels as pets in my state, or in any of the rental houses in my area as far as I know, so that is even better for me. :squirrel:
