gerbil poo

sorry to be so forward but i need to know about it my female has strarted to have soft poo and i dont know wat to think about it. i think she is pregnant so i dont know if that changes anything and also her pups are weanings.

Any advice gladdly taken,

it certainly isn't normal
Are the pups poos normal??
have you given her 'wet' food lately?
Has their been a change of diet?
do the poos smell?
if it continues then it may be wise to see a vet just in case

I agree with doom gerbil.
If you are feeding her more fresh fruits and veggies her stool can become softer. If she has a wet bum from it, or is looking a little lathargic it's time to see a vet.
If your gerbil has diarhea it's time to see a vet, wet tail can cause death and is very serious.

Hopefully it's just a new food, or fresh veggies.

yeah it smells and the others are perfectly normal. i did put some apple in there not too much but i suppose it is possible that she ate it all quickly, it didnt last long, if thats the case will she be ok? i will keep a close eye on her.

I think if it doesn't clear up in a few hours see a vet and if any other gerbils develop the symptoms same applies
other than that I would say if it clears up it should be fine and yes if she ate too much apple that might well be the problem!!!
