My Mom and Dad are iffy about hermit crabs, does anyone know how I can convince them to let me get one? I've done tons of research and told them about them, but they're still iffy.

Wow, that's a tough one. We don't know your parents, so I doubt anyone will really be able to answer that question. Why are they iffy?

Well My Mom's for it, it's just my Dad. He says no more animals in the house. I don't know.

I have 2 rabbits and one dog. Man, I really really want a hermit crab :( There so cute, and I held one, and ooooh it feels so cool!

Yeah they make good pets, they don't eat much, are cheap, and can live together in smaller cages than a rabbit or a chinchilla or something.

Well now I wouldn't say cheap, after if you want a good hermie habitat it can cost everywhere from $50-175 or more. It just depends on what your willing to pay. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't have my hermies yet, but that's becuase I calculated teh costs and I'm saving my money until I can get the proper equiptment for a hermie habitat. I mean I don't want to put new hermies into a halve finished enviroment

Good for you! Though if you already have pets... why does your dad say no animals in the house? Rabbits count as animals.

$50-$175 for a hermit crab! I got mine for 6 dollars! Are the ones you looking at rare or something? I spent around $60 in total for my tank, toys, etc. How many crabs do you want to get! Oh, and tell your dad that they don't smell (if you keep everything clean), and that they're not big noise makers. Good Luck!

Oh I see! What size tank are you going to get? You could probably get a 10 gallon tank for around $20.
