Anyone around this area looking for a ferret? I'm looking for someone, preferably someone who already has ferrets. I rescue ferrets, and currently I have seven. As much as I would like to, I cannot keep them all ( I am moving to go to college, and I wont have the space! ) I've been nursing one baby who is now feeling much better, his name is Superman. I rescued him because he's deaf. He loves other ferrets, and plays with mine really well! He's SUPER sweat, and he needs a home! The others I have rescued from abusive pet shops. They are all under a year old, and need care! Please email me at Odanqo@yahoo.com for further information if you are interested. Please, let me know!

Hello!

My name is Jennifer and I saw that you have a ferret that needs a home. I am interested in him if he is still available. A bit about me: I have volunteered for a local ferret rescue and have experience with ferrets that are deaf/blind/aggressive/paraplegic/etc. I currently only have two ferrets, Boulder and Sasha. Sasha is deaf, but is the most wonderful little fert. I recently lost a ferret that was very special to me. He was a big, blind, albino boy named Spawn. When I saw your ad for Superman, I figured I had to inquire about him.

My only serious problem is that I live near Alton, IL which is 5.5 hours away from you. I guess that can be dealt with later. Please let me know what you think!

Thanks so much,
Jennifer

Something seems fishy about this original post. You have 7 ferrrets that are all under a year old, that you rescued from petstores? I'm sorry but this sounds more like a collector to me, especially since you say you are going off to college. No rescue is only part-time. Why don't you just stop the BS and give these people the truth, especially after being busted above for the sugar glider thing too.

Ferret Problems.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, I have six ferrets. Yes, they are all the best things in the world and I love them very much! However..

Several months ago I switched thier diet from the Marshall food they had been eating to the 8-1 ferret food because I heard it was better for them. I think it is, however, in mixing thier food to switch them over they began to have several problems. They got very sick ( runny poop.. ew. ) which I know is common for animals when they switch diets. But, it would not go away! Whenever I picked them up thier tummies were cold, and it made me feel weird. Because I could tell they didn't feel good ( they were still playfull and ACTED healthy ) and my youngest ferret, born March 30th, was my biggest concern because she wasn't gaining much weight from being sick! So I finally just swicthed them back to Marshall after a few months, and they didn't have ANY problems.

Still, my youngest hasn't put on much weight ( some, but not as much as my others did at her age ) and one of my ferrets has runny poop still. I've tried duck soup, amoung other things. UGH any suggestions?

wow. that was a long post. "

Here you are looking to take in more ferrets

If your ferret still needs a home, I am willing to help. I go to Florida often. Email me at Lotsa_Luxe@yahoo.com if you need help.

I don't think these accusations are going to do anyone any good. Let's focus on the fact that these ferrets need homes. IF what you are saying is true, than you would be more willing to help her find them homes anyway.

At any rate, my door is always open to a fuzz-butt in need. I have posted here as well as sent her an e-mail. I haven't recieved a response from her yet, but my offer to take in a fuzzy still stands. I don't mind special need ferts as I have dealt with plenty.

My main concern is the well-being of these ferrets. If they need a home, I'm willing to help. The reason for giving them up is hers and that's fine with me. I just want to make sure these guys go to a ferret knowledgable home that will take care of them.

Thanks.
