Are you starting a rescue? Or are you just taking in personal ferrets?

I am just a loving mom of a 3 boys, a ferret and a Sun Conure that knows people who are involved in rescues (one rescues dogs and the other rescues ferrets) and I want to help in anyway I can with the animals I have the most experience with. My most recent rescue was a wild-caught Red-Masked conure died a few months ago of old age. When I rescued him five years he was clinging in fear on the side of the cage in this lady's basement (she had a rabbit in the cage with him!!!!) He was missing a toe (I'm assuming from the capture in So. America), missing all the feathers on the top of his head (scar tissue from Heaven knows what) and a bad eye (that no one treated). He was mean from day one. Would open your finger in a heartbeat. But over time and with love and patience and perserverence, I had a snuggly, loving bird that I could do anything with. I miss him so much. My other two sweeties are healthy and happy. I am in a place in my life now to start helping again.
