Sounds like your typical round worms (aka threadworms). Was your dog recently dewormed at the vet? They will pass worms for a few days after being treated.
If your dog HASN'T been treated yet, I would take her in!! I don't suggest using an OTC dewormer- just go to the vet.

Pups are usually wormed with their 1st shots....has he been to the vet yet? This needs to be done. Roundworms are transferred to pups through moms milk. These are long spaghetti like worms. Tapeworms look like wiggly grains of rice. They are transmitted from pups licking fleas off themselves and ingesting them.

This is the stuff the vet would give you if you had a litter of pups to worm. http://www.petshed.com/products/category365.asp
If money is an issue its the way to go, I used this place to get the meds for my kitten. Your puppy still needs shots though, so this is just a short term fix until you can go to the vet to get all that done.

The vet will be able to diagnose which it kind it is if you can't, then he can give you the proper meds. chances are he may have both. All puppies have worms. they go dormant in the mom dogs muscles, and come out in the milk. even if you treat a dog for worms, it can still harbor them in its muscle.

I wouldn't use the over the counter products. I would see a vet. Besides if he hasn't he needs to see a vet.

That sounds more like tapeworms to me. Tapeworms are the product of your dog ingesting fleas.

As a general rule, "spaghetti" like worms are roundworms. "Rice" like worms are tapeworms.

I also recommend taking the pup to a vet. At nine weeks, it should be receiving vaccines. Also, it is a distinct possibility that you can overdose on dewormer, causing neurologic problems.
