are having a heater OK?? if a tank of ONE goldfish...and TWO RYUKIN...if NOT...wut are side effects?? PLS HELPP

well it can regulate the temperature but those fish are cold water fish they can tolerate the cold :D then can even tolerate even if the top of the water is frozen so i think heater wont be needed but just to regulate the temperature of the tank i guess it wont hurt to invest one :D

the problem is... i want tropical fish with my goldfish and 2 ryukins..but in order is to have a heater...the problem is are the goldfish and ryukins OK... to live and SURVIVE with a heater on?

Mixing tropical fish and coldwater fish isn't a good idea. If you try to please both by keeping the temperature between what each prefers, they'll still end up getting stressed from the temp difference and will probably get sicker easier. They'll live, but they won't be happy. Imagine keeping a polar bear in Florida. That's what keeping a coldwater fish in a tropical tank would be like.
