Hey, everyone! I went to my uncle's house this sunday to see his horses (I love horses) and chickens and stuff because I love animals and ANYWAY! While I was brushing this one particular horse, he asked me if I wanted her...
I wasn't sure at first, I mean, I've always wanted a horse, and I know some horse basics because I was in a horse group in 4-H (but didn't have a horse). I know how to ride, but there was something about her...I wasn't afraid of her. This horse had never met me in her life and she wasn't afraid of me either. She let me brush her all throughout and everything. She even came when I called her name..
Well, anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I want to know the basics of caring for her (my uncle is caring for her at the moment, I just want to know more). I want to know things like:
What kind of stuff do I need?
What kind of feed is good?
Any kind of tips on horses? Dos and Don'ts?
And just everything, so I know I can be a good horse mom and stuff..>^.^<
Well, what I do know about her is that her name is India, she's 12 years old and I'm not really sure what kind of horse she is...mustang? My uncle said something like that...Is that good? O.O She has a son already 2 years old, she's feed hay, sweet feed, not sure what else, I need to go take a look..
Anyway!! Just tell me everything and anything!!
Thanks! >^.^<

Getting a horse.. Used to ask the same questions. It is so confusing and difficult at first. I got many books, and read non stop. To own a horse, you literaly need to know a thousand things.. That is what made me back down from getting a horse years ago.

Where will it be kept? Do you guys have the money to pay all the bills, such as the basic things and any medical problem that may need to be fixed right away?

It always helps to have someone around that knows horses. Thats why I kept my horse at a stable with a friendly lady who knew everything and willing to teach and share her experiences.
