Hi!

I live in kentucky, horse capital of the us, but it is sooooo hard to find people that will let me work at their farm in return for horse back riding lessons. i am really experienced, 12 years old, and my dad used to be a jokey on the saratoga racetrack in New York. I really really miss riding horses, it feels so cool when you are riding them, like you are flying. I would REALLY appriciate it if some one would let me help out around their farm, even if they can't give me lessons in return, I just really want to be around horses again

You sound like my Daughter. She loves horses sooooo much. I live in Florida, so I can't help with the riding or the lessons, but I can agree with you on the feeling part.

I used to ride alot, but since I got old, I don't mount very well, and I have trouble getting in the saddle. I would also encourage you to keep loving the horses. My Daughter worked really hard until she could save enough money to buy her own. They day will come for you too I hope.

hey thats kinda like me!! I'm 17 actually, my mom met this lady who owns equestrian center and I asked her if I could possibly do some volunteer work, brush horses, tack 'em up, wash them, clean the stall.. e.t.c, I really just wanted to be with horses, and she told me I can get riding lessons in exchange for that!! Awesome... so I work 3 hours on Sat. and get 1 hour lesson on Wed. And its soo worth it, i love horseback riding...

Good luck with your riding though, u should also ask for discount or something...:agree:
