Hi all, my name is Danielle. I am actually looking for a puppy for my 24 month old son for the holidays. I dont have very much money to spend due to christmas coming, so i was hoping to adopt one for somebody before they took an animal to a shelter or rescue.
I had my Siberian Husky, Persephone, for 9 years. She was a stray. we returned her to her owners and she came back to my house a month later. We had her up until the past summer. She passed away in August. My son spent the first 2 years of his life with a dog, and we just bought a nice house, with over 1/4 acre of land, most of the land is a fenced in backyard. And i feel we are ready for another dog. I want a boxer or a shiba inu, no older then 4-6 months old. I am willing to pay a small fee, but cant afford much.
I live in New Jersey, so if anybody that is not halfway across the country would like to help me out during the holidays, that would be great. I can get vet references if needed to prove I'm not trying to get a free animal to sell or fight!!!
thanks for reading..

i've been on petfinder.com as well as all the rescue sites within New Jersey, Deleware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Nobody has puppies. I wouldnt mind an older dog, but my fiance, who has somewhat of a fear of dogs, will only let us have a dog if we raise it from a baby since we have a 2 year old and we are trying to have another. Thank you.

Are you set on a Boxer or Shiba Inu? If not, please tell me what other breeds you would be interested in, and I will see what I can find for you.

the only dogs i have ever owned was a boxer and a siberian husky. I really want a boxer puppy. But any dog that is available I can do some research on to see if the breed is good with children....Thank you so much for your help!

If you are interested in other large breed dogs, such as Lab's or Dalmations, then you have many other options in your area.
Good Luck with your search, and if you need any further help with finding a puppy, let me know, and I'll see what I can dig up.

thank you very much!! I sent inquires about a few...It all depends on the adoption fees too...I found a breeder that was giving away pure breed boxer pups because they were not show quality, but my husky had just past and I wasnt read..I could kick myself in the behind for not taking one!
Talk to you soon..I'll let you know how these few you sent me turn out..

Sounds good. Remember, if traveling a long distance is a problem, most rescues will drive half way, or something along those terms.
