I read that some hamster owners give cereals and dog kibble to their hammies for a treat, what kind of cereals are good? are sweetend cereals bad? (ex. captin krunch)

yes, sweetend cereals are bad...try to stick to 'healthy' cereals...read whats in it...
I use either plain Total or Rice Krispies or whatever its called.
as for dog food, my hamster doesnt like it, but if you are going to give that to your dog...once again, check for whats in it...do not use any 'puppy' dog food as it has too much protein in it.

ok once again thank you for helping me out. I have been giving my hammie cheerios and regular corn flakes. she seems to enjoy taking 7 or 8 cherrios and sticking them in her pouches, its soo cute. as for dog kibble, I just find that odd, and i think i will stick to veggies

Hamsters are omnivores and eat meat..so dog kibble is ok to give. They like meal worms and yoghurt and cottage cheese, and one of my clients has 3 hamsters so she make tiny little meat balls with raw beef or veal and freezes them. She defosts them a few hours before giving them to her hamsters in the fridge and avoid any bacteria or possible health issues. Have to be careful with the meat not to grow bacteria though!
