2 new hammies one boy one girl in the same cage at store!

I was wondering if a few people could help me. I went to the store today and saw 2 hamsters marked down to $3 each. They are good size hamsters. I had to have them since I just lost my black bear ham and no hamster should be on clearence. Anyway, On the tag it said that both hamsters were male. When I took them out to get them ready to take home, I foud out 1 was a boy and 1 was a girl. I don't know how long they had been together. I know I need to get seperate cages for them, but what else should I look out for with the female incase she may be pregnant. Thank you for your help!

For the female one look out for more drinking,, getting larger near the rear and also making a nest...

Watch for change in habits...Female hamsters get in season (heat) every 4 days, stroke her back..and if she freezes she's not and just in heat...and if she doesnt, chances are she is pregnant..if her belly is purple u can be expecting lil babies in about 2 days or even sooner.
