My gerbils

In October I bought my first gerbil, Rogue. She was only about a month old and she's black with a white chin blaze & a little white on her front paws. She currently lives with two 2-year old males given to me by a friend. They are Wakely (gray & white) and Sullivan (amber or tan). Those 3 get along great, but poor Roscoe is all by himself. I'd guess he's about 5-6 months old at the most. He's a tortoiseshell colored guy and he's so cute. I know gerbils are pickier about about than rats & mice--is it safe to just go buy a female and put her in with Roscoe?? When my friend gave me the 2 other males, she also gave me a female. This female, Charlotte, looks exactly like Rogue, but didn't get along with Roscoe, so I gave her to my roommate. Thanks in advance!!

you can put your other female with her as long as you introduce them slowley. Try putting them in a neutral area that neither of them knows as their own. Keep and eye on them and make sure they don't fight. Also try putting them in a temporary home split into two with plexiglass or some type of wire so they can get used to each other's smell. I would switch them to a different side every day until they are used to each other's smell.
