To who it may concern

Please help. Is the living environment they living in and the breeding environment the same thing? What do I need to prepare and setup for my turtles to breed.
I put my 2 turtles in a container 1 metre but .5m . Im planning to make him a new home . HOwever I do not know how to setup the living environment for them and I also need to know if there i a difference between setting up the home and the breeding home.

yes there is a difference, but it also depends on the type of turtle you have. For a home you should have at least a 55 gallon for two turtles. You should have a heater and a basking area (a place to get out of the water and bask in the light). You need a basking light, a UVB light like reptisun 5.0. If you plan to breed you need to have an area for the female to get out of the water and bury her eggs in the sand. I do not suggest breeding because there are already so many unwanted turtles out there, and you can't just release them into the wild when they get too big. That's just cruel and dangerous. What type of turtles do you have, and why do you want to breed them?
