Someone from my rescue group found a ferret wandering the streets the other day, they called me to ask what to feed it. Our rescue group pretty much only does cats, so no one really knows anything about it. Does anybody know of a ferret rescue or someone looking to adopt in the Union County NJ area? Thanks.

The best to feed them is 8 in 1 ferret food or totally ferret, if you guys truly would like to place them in a different shelter, I can either find a ferret rescue for you or they can come here. How is the health of the ferret? What they will need is an examination and they will also need their shots before being put up for adoption. If you need any help with anything feel free to email me at haveaheartrescue@aol.com
I can also send you some helpful thinks about care and ferrets if you would like.

I would love to take the lil one. I have 3 ferrets and would love to take that one in. I live in Budd Lake NJ and if there is anyway on meeting I would love to take the litte one. I was also wondering if you took the ferret to the vet? If not I would be more then willing if you would be willing to let me take him. If you consider you can contact me at Dark_Angel_691@yahoo.com. Thanks so much! I'm pretty sure it's been vetted by now. Budd Lake is about an hour and a half from where we are, maybe someone to meet you halfway? I'll have the person who is currently fostering the ferret email you and you can work out the details. Thanks again!

They emailed me last night saying they found someone closer, but are still checking it out. If they get a bad vet reference from them, then they will email you. I'm very sorry for all the confusion!

It's ok as long as it gets a good home.
