For Xmas, my sis gave my bro two axolotls in a tank and a bottle of food, some rocks and one of those pump filter things. Before Xmas, both Axolotls lived in my sister's room in their tank. After Xmas, my brother took the tank in his room so the Axolotls could live there. After the first day, my bro woke up to find the youngest one, Gringo dead, floating on top of the water  . After that, about a day later, the older Axolotl, Otto stopped eating and would float or pop his head out of the water :confused2 . We used to feed them Axolotl pellets. We called the pet shop and they gave us a free tray of frozen bloodworms to feed Otto. We put in the bloodworms but Otto didn't eat those either. We're getting really worried because Otto hasn't eaten for four or five days now!! Please help me!!

Hello, sleepytigey
You will have change your axie of tank for a while. Put only 4 or five cm of water in it then your axo will touch the floor and won't stress animore. Put it also in a colder water max 20C.
This happen quite often with this specie and also others. It's usually because of stress. After one week you can put it back in full water.
Put woods or stone where your axies can hide under... ;)

i need help. my bro got an axolotl about 1 year ago. he gave it to me about 1 month ago. within the past 2 or 3 days he has gotten much less active and the little red filaments on his head turned a darker blue or blackish. he has also lost his appetite. he doesnt eat anywhere close to wat he used to. i used to feed him bloodworms, beefheart, and the brine shrimp and he would eat it all. now he eats the bloodworms and the rest of the food just floats there for a couple days. PLEASE HELP
