These are my 4 girls that live in my bedroom! They love playtime with the hay in the box, it's their favorite past time! There's one pied black, one pied dove, one REH and one DEH in the tank.

aw thats great! I wish they sold those here. The one picture of all three of them looks like only two.. one sitting on top of the box and another really really long gerbil stretched way out with his bum out the side and head out the top lol. looks like they have a lot of fun.

Cute pics :D They really seem to love the box, I'm always running out of cardboard to give my gerbs- I don't use to many food boxes b/c I'm afraid there's to much paint on it, but do you think the cardboard motts applesauce comes in, would be to much paint on hte box for gerbs?

Hey, Callimico, I always give my guys printed boxes and have never had any problems with them. The really love the tissue boxes and pop tarts boxes the best!

thanks Sbonnier, I've always given mine tissue and kraft mac and cheese boxes, and regular cardboard boxes you get in the mail (after tape was removed) but wasn't sure if others were safe. I'll try giving them our pop tart box (lol, even though we haven't eaten them all yet :D). Do you think popsicle sticks would work to?

Your welcome! I'm not really sure about the popsicle sticks. They chew things so quickly tho, I can't see them having a problem with them.

Great Pictures!
My whole thing on cardboard for pets is... If it came with food in it, they can have it.
I also give Tissue boxes, toilet paper rolls ect.
I don't know about Popcicle sticks... They can't be to harmfull if we can put them in our mouths, and I knwo of people giving their gerbils wooden spoons.
PS - My gerbils get Pop Tart Boxes too! LOL :p

lol, that's a good way to judge if it's safe or not. I use shoe boxes (cardboard kind that has NO paint- only can get it at this one store) It's got holes in some area's and the lid hinges off and makes an awesome tunnel/roof/maze/level chew toy all in one (compartments on the inside). It's thick cardboard to and always takes them awhile to get through it :D
I was thinking it'd be kind of fun when I'm bored(or watching TV- always have to do something with myhands)- buy a bunch of popsicle sticks cut a line into them so I can attach them together and make a little wooden house or some other tunnel/structure thing for the gerbs. to stick them together- a little child safe glue could work to I guess.... ???
