i don't know if anyone remembers but i posted last month about my gerbils having only 1 baby and it survived well since then they had another one (only 1 again) and i think the new baby is a male so i was wondering how to go about putting him in with the dad (he is by himself) it is 3 weeks old and the dad has never been around the baby, and does anyone have any tips on sexing gerbils when they are young?

Well, usually with young gerbils (6 weeks or so) it's just fine to do a direct introduction, especially with males. Adult males are usually very accepting of young pups. BUT, you'll still need to watch them very carefully for awhile, to be postive they accept each other. As far as sexing them, I know there's a good site around here somewhere... Well, here's a few w/ info and some pictures:

Great Info MonoOmoi. :)
Good luck with the introduction. So far i haven't had any problems with male introductions, and either has anyone I know, so you shouldn't have a problem. ;)
