Hi I'm looking for some Suggies in NE Ohio I can spend bout $100-$125 but no suggie should be alone, and thats what people want for one. Can someone out there sell me 2 for that price same sex or different sex, related or not. I want it to have a friend. They will go to a great a loving home with someone there constantly and I have a reletive who used to have one and she can train me and tell all the do's and don'ts. cureator@sbcglobal.net

before somebody just training you as you go along...I would do some MAJOR research on these animals, and know the basics inside and out before starting your glider family.

You must research diets..which there are several of...vitamins....bonding, what to look for when they are sick..if they are legal for you to have..you need to find specific country/state/county/town regulations before anything or they will be put down!

You need to find a vet that has knowledge of a sugar glider...any exotics vet wont do...you want one with glider experience...I have met a few that called themselves "Exotic Vets" and they really had no first hand knowledge of sugar gliders..but they cared for snakes and things!

You also need to have the basic items needed before you get them..and wore the sleeping and bonding pouches on your body for a few days to get your scent...

Make sure you cage is big enough....have food items..vitamins...toys, licky treats, snacks...play tent (recommended) for safe playtime with your gliders in a larger, confined area...bonding and sleep pouches...

There is alot involved...but most important...you must figure out if you really have time for a glider...

Do you work alot? go to school? have to be up early in the morining? Lots to consider..so I would research, then, research some more!!! Good luck in your search...

Ty Dani, just so ya know I have been researching all of anything related to sugar gliders like their food and their protein and calsium needs. I have researched the various types of bonding methods and I think I have found one that I like. I have researched various illnesses that can occur in sugar gliders and what to look for and how to treat if a vet is not needed. Their are a number of vets in the Akron area of Ohio and I am currently corrosponding with a number of suggie breeders to find which ones I can trust with my suggies once I get them. Their cage is something that I will be making myself and it will be about 4ft deep 6ft long and 5ft high. I plan on raising a colony, not a suggie selling business just a lot of suggies. I get off work about the time they should be waking up and I have a roommate who is there earlier than that.

lol not to rant and I do appreciate your concern, but I have done my due dilligence and am ready to handle the responcibility.

Good for you!! Glad to hear it! Most people just get them and dont know what the hell to do with them!!! Very sad thing! I wasnt trying to lecter or anything...but I just love these creatures..and only want the best for them. Good luck in your search.

Which diet did you decide to get with? I'm thinking of changing mine....but well see!

Good luck in your search..and did you do your homework about what types of supplies to use to build your cage?? Just checking..
