my dwarf hamsters paw seems to be swelled up and red. She uses it for cleaning her face and eating, but otherwise while running in her wheel, she holds it close to her body. She's also been picking fights with her fellow cage members/sisters. I separated her, but I dont know what else to do....

Do I leave it alone/will it heal by itself?

I also put her in a cage w/out a wheel. Does she need to have a wheel in order to help it heal?

Btw I dont know how it got that way...the only thing I can think of is either she caught it between something (like the bars or any air holes in the cage/wheel) or that Honey, my other dwarf hammie, bit her-except there doesnt seem to be any bite marks. I have no idea what to do and taking her to a vet is kind of useless since they really cant do anything for an animal so small. I mean if they put a cast on it, she'd just chew it off...so that wont work.

Any suggestions of what I can do?

Just keep her isolated and dont let her do any excersizing activities until the swelling and soarness go down.

yea^ she should be fine soon... It is near impossible to break a hammies foot.
