bit desperate for advice

hi im new to this forum, i used to own hamsters when i was a child, im now 20 and i brought a hamster 2 nearlly 3 weeks ago shes a syrian hamster and shes called chibi, the problem i have is, i think shes suffering from conjunctivitus, sometimes when she wakes, her eyes are stook together with sleep like humans get, i have been wiping her eyes when shes gets like this but it looks really bad sometimes.
do u think i should take her the vets? do you think it maybe conjunctivitus, she dont clean her eyes most the time she gets like this and she dont like me tryin to pick her up. which is understandable as she has a tiny corner to look out of when her eyes are shut
please help :(

i thought it maybe an allergy but ive changed from using wood shavings to carefresh but it dont seem to be gettin better, its happened about 4 or 5 times out of two weeks but it still worries me to death

did you use cedar or pine before, and when did you change the bedding??

kiln dried pine, and i changed it friday night to carefresh

well i suppose thats the best idea, if i take her the vet she may clean her eyes herself and look fine to the vet, its just a little worryin

i just wish i know if it was conjunctivitus or not is it is i know she will need antibiotics in form of an ointment or eye drops if not i dunno what to do

i took chibi to the vets and the vet thinks she has mild case of conjunctivitus like i thought, he gave her a shot of baytril and today shes lookin great her eyes dont look sore at all
