While surfing the web I found a picture of a sugar glider and I immediatly fell in love with them. I cannot get them off my mind. So I am looking for a sugar glider. I have done a little reasearch and have found that it is better to buy a sugar glider about 8 weeks out of the pouch instead of an older one becuase of the bonding process. And that it is better to buy it from a private owner rather than somewhere like petsmart or petco or one of those big stores. I currently live in Radford, Va which is close to Roanoke,Va. I would like so info about where i can buy sugargliders. i would like to beable to choose the one want and I am willing to wait a little while to get one. thank you for any info.

I think you should do more research, you said you've done "a little" but it takes a lot. I researched for a year, and I'm still learning something new everyday. I know of a few breeders also, I will try to find them for you, maybe talk to them when you think you're ready.

She is 100% right you never learn enough but it is better to do months and months research these are wonderful animals with a very complex diet. I have 3 and I am with glidergrl1513 I learn new stuff everyday. They need lots of love and time, they need and I mean NEED at least 2 hours of YOUR time a day. You need to get at least 2 if you can't give them more than 2 hours. if they don't get you attention they will self mutilate(sp?), get very sick, and even die. And vet bill are some what high because they are exotic animals not to mention to find a vet that really know enough about them to treat them is hard to find. Well if you have any questions you can email me and if I don't know the answer I will try to find it.
