European black hamsters are, I believe, just black syrians. They have so many nicknames it's hard to keep track of them, so there's a slight chance they aren't syrians, but I doubt it. Biggest thing I can tell you without knowing what questions you have, is DO NOT put 2 of them together.

"European black hamsters" are just black coloured syrians. They're also called "black bears" in pet shops.
Yes I believe they can eat cauliflower.

Yes a "European black bear" is just a black syrian (just like the "golden" hamster)
You actually have to watch what you put them in (cage wise) as they need a bit of space (not height wise, floor space, they aren't big on climbing). And most people use bins (sterilite, rubbermaid) for cages.
and yes cauliflower is a good treat to give them!
