Goldfish Help Asap Please!!!

Hey guys, well i just picked up a big oranda goldfish today and i love him to death. When i looked at him in the tank at the pet shop he looked like there was absolutely nothing wrong with him. Now that i look at him underneath my tank light he has some kinda green algae looking garbage on his tail. There is about 3 dots on his tail and they look like i could just pull them off the way they are hanging on him. Anybody have any ideas of what it could be? please help asap!!!

well i guess im writing a post for everybody to learn from my experience in case no one knew this. But my oranda had green dots about a centimeter big. I found out from one of my buddies who is a professional fish keeper...aka he owns his own store...told me that it might be parasites and to see if they moved. Well these guys had lil tentacles and i saw them move so what i was told to do was to take a razor blade and go across his tail gently to remove the parasites. Sure enough it worked and hes back to a beautiful white tail =) so I hope nobody else has to do this but if it happens this is what you have to do. O and the parasites themselves...i was told that they wont kill them right away but they eat the slime off their body so yea the sooner you get them off the better. I kept my oranda out of the water for only incraments of 30 seconds then put him back in. It took me about 3 trys to get all 8 off!
