I was wondering the same thing, Grumbles, a rescue I took in had a 150 dollar vet bill and has a 400 dollar surgery coming up. I would love some gerbie insurance.

I rescued him from a pet store after someone dumped him there. He had a scab on his scentgland that could possibly be a tumor but the vet is trying to treat him for a skin infection first to see if that will clear it up (he has also chewed it up recently pretty badly and we can't operate until he heals up a bit.) I knew he was sick when I brought him home but wanted to have him treated (or at least give him a comfortable place to live the rest of his life if he could not be helped.). His story and pictures are on my website www.kismetscorner.net I didn't post the graphic ones of his wounds because they make me ill and I have a pretty strong stomach (but of course I have a weakness for hurt animals, I can't stand to even think of them in pain.)
