I'm in need of some serious help! I need to move to advance in my career but my glider kids are illegal in California. I want to talk to anyone who owns gliders in CA or knows much about it. I've read previous posts in this forum and it seems like there are a fair amount of glider owners from CA out there so what's it like? I don't want to have to hide my kids in the house if the landlord comes or sneak my babies over the border when I move! I also REALLY don't want them to get confiscated and put down; I know I could find a foster home for them here in Texas but I love my two girls. I just want to do what's best for them and keep them if at all possible. Please respond if you have any more info for me. Thanks in advance- Christy

I know that it might be really really hard for you, but the most loving thing that you can do for your two girls is to find them a good home in a legal state. I know how hard that it must be for you to do. I was going to move to CA too, but I have given up on that dream for a good reason. I do not see my life without having gliders in it so I am doing the responsible thing and staying out of that state. I know that you cannot be expected to compromise your job for your pets but taking them into an illegal state is not something that would show your love for them. The people that live in an illegal state with gliders are selfish, or ignorant. It is not fair to your gliders to put them in danger. I know several very good glider owners that live in TX and I am sure that you will be able to find a good loving home for them.

Christybee,
I know people who own gliders in CA and I have 2 myself. If you want you can email me at tg92009@lycos.com and I can answer any questions you have. I have found that people on this site are very hostile to people who own gliders in CA. :)

Please don't hide information from the board that could possibly endanger a animal.

Pea8, its not that we're hostile, we're just concerned for the gliders, and we want the best for them. We'd hate to hear of anything happening to them because the owner was knowingly keeping them where its illegal.
