I had chins when I was pregnant and did just fine. They don't carry the same things a cat would. Chins do drop their fur, but only when scared and mostly female chins do this. You may want to try to get a male chin this time, but stil be carfull not to spook him. You shouldn't be seeing any fur from a chin. If they take their dust bath, they really shouldn't be sheding.

But a male chin needs to remove the hair from his penis. I read that in a web-site, forgotten what is the web-site address. Isn't this too troublesome ! I don't think I dare to do it. How often we must bring our chin to the vet for normal check-up regards female or male ?

Your chin may never need to see a vet unless they are ill.
As for hair rings on males, this only happens if they are mating alot and it is easy to remove. If he can not do it himself, then you will have too. The signs are; he will walk with his but in the air like it hurts him. He will have trouble urinating and will groom himself non-stop. His penis will also be red or swollen.
If you suspect your male has a hair ring it isn't has bad as it sounds. You need to wrap him in a towel and pull the penis out of it's seath. I know this sounds grose, but it must be done. It has to come all the way out and look at the very bottom to see if there is a ring of hair. If so, it may need to be wet to loosen it up. Most are just very easy to pull off, some are not. Be very carful not to hurt him and he will be fine. It may be neccessary to put some water, Kay-Y Jelly, or Vassilean on him to help it go back in. Sorry this is so graffic, but it can cause serious damage to your male and he could die if it isn't taken care of. If you male doesn't mate it may never need to be done.
