My friend who took those 3 boy gerbils called and said one bit her finger and she no longer wants them. :( I told her he was probably started and just nibbeling and she said no, he bit her. I still doubt it but told her I would be there this weekend to pick them up. I dont want them going to just anyone, she isn't real savy about who they would go to.

I doubt he really bit her, not even sure which one it was. They did nibble on me, but it was never a bite. Maybe I can talk to her and show her some stuff when I see her this weekend.

She does sound impatient and she should know it takes awhile for gerbils to get settled in a new envirnment. Hope you find good homes for them!

Yikes... Sounds like these gerbils would be better off with someone else. If I was a little gerbil in a new enviroment with a huge hand I didn't recognize coming down on me, I'd be a bit frightened, and may nip too.

That's one fo the reasons I decided not to breed any longer, I can't be 100% they wil be properly taken care of by MY standards (and they are very high). My cousin who i know takes good care of her animals is interested in getting some more (it's been years since her last 2 died) And I'm conidering giving her my 2 male pups and Gumba, But i'm affraid b/c of her school/boyfriend/job and well being young and wanting to have fun, she won't have enough time for them.

So hard, I'm going to be the worlds most over-protective Mom one day LOL

Well I have them, they are adorable. I have them in the fish room. LOL They seem fine, a bit shy but they are slowly investagating me more. Sunflower seeds help :)
