Me and Josh (my boyfriend) got some cute pics of the gerbils yesterday and thought we'd share them, Cuz, really, who can ever get enough baby gerbil pics? ;)
Sorry they're kind of big..... :confused:


Finally opened their eyes about a day or 2 ago! :applause: Today is day 17, but these were taken yesterday on day 16.

"If mom and dad can eat this stuff, then I can too!" This little gerb actually ate almost that entire little piece of food. I was surprised to see it eating solids already.

And last, but least, anyone know the record for number of gerbils in 1 coconut? lol All 8 of my babies, plus mom and dad have been sleeping in the same one. I'd like to see them do that in about 2 weeks, and see if they still fit... lol

That's all for now. We've taken pics every single day, so we can remember them growing up. But I know how much everyone else loves to show off their babies, and I also know a lot of people got babies around the same time as me. So, feel free to post pics of your babies here too! :stork-gir

lol No, I guess the pictures are not big at all.... Sorry for the mis-warning....... It showed 'em big at first on my computer. .... Oh well.... :o

Anyway, I came back to say I forgot to put my favorite pic up here!

I love that the babies are coming out of the coconut and mom and dad are having some "alone time" in the back.... :D

aww, they're so cute!! Growing up fast though :grin: I'm going to try out the coconut house, I've had 12 gerbils in a wooden house (until the pups hit 3 weeks, lol, it didn't last long). I think you have the record their :biggrin:

You definitevely won the coconut record! LOL I don't know if you saw this pic.. but here it is... inside the coconut, four 5-week old pups, mom and... dad's head! LOL

Padfoot, yeah, I saw that pic and I love it! It's SO funny! I'm aious to see if all of mine still try to squeeze in there when they get older... Should be interesting! lol

How is the mom doing now? Have you found out what is up with her poor eye? The pups are growing up beautifully you must be so happy to have rescued them from that store!

Speaking of cute pups and tight spots here are the two reamining girls from Lucy's last litter being cute and crammed!

and in the cage with them lol, they didn' quite know how to both fit out at the same time, they were just sleeping in there like that like it was a little horse stall lol
