Last night when I had my cockatiel Tilly out he did this weird thing where he opened his mouth and then shook his head and seeds came out :( He has not been acting different at all and it did not seem like he was choking he just did it and went off to what he was doing before. Is this normal or is he sick?

Thats regurgitating! :D Its a good sign, it pretty much means he loves you and wants to feed you! lol

You're lucky you only have a tiel... Try having a greenwing Macaw do it to you!!! Its not only a few seeds that come out, trust me!!lol

Thanks god! I was so scared that he was sick...I was worried about him all day at school today! I was watching TV last night and all the sudden he opened his mouth, shook his head and a whole bunch of seeds came out, I was like what as that!?!? Then he did it again. I tried to look stuff up on the internet but could not find any thing. I am so relived now!!!! Thanks a bunch

Aww, that's cute. My bird does that for me, too. Especially when he gets excited. We play a game where he grabs on to my finger and I wiggle his head, then he lets go and bobs his head, regurgitating something and swallowing it again. :P
