pregnant hamster ...?

:huh: i just recently got a hamster less then a week ago and i picked her up to put her in the cage and she was a bit chubby underneath. so i thought she could be pregnant. i looked into it and it says she could be jumpy, hoard food, and make a big nest. she hoards food (i think), she has a made a nest (but im not sure what big is?), and she is jumpy (but i think that could be from other reasons.) so if anyone can tell me how jumpy is jumpy and how big a nest usually is, it could possibly help, thanks.

I have experience with pregnant hamsters, My female hamster has had 5 litters so far and all the signs that I notice are hoarding food, nest building, and when she is close to giving birth she eats less and her belly gets really big 1 or 2 days before she is about to give birth. My female starts to get nippy when she is pregnant and she bosses the male around. Jumpy can mean tons of things, my female starts to bite and shes aious a few days before she gives birth... also she makes a regular nest but she uses anything she can get her hands on... I put in bed fluff that I buy at the pet store and she takes it all and makes a nest... you can also use toliet paper... the unscented kind to see if she uses it to make a nest. But the thing is most hammies make nests whether they are pregnant or not so it is hard to tell on that one and most hammies hoard food when they arent pregnant. The best signs are if she gets really fat and starts becoming slightly aggressive. If you have anymore questions just ask.
