I will prob get in trouble for this and know I should post this elsewhere as it has nothing to do with hamsters, but ya'll are my hamster buddies and I don't wanna post elsewhere. what is the deal with the rating under our avatars? ya know-some say petshub member, some say friend, etc? tha!

I think its related to how many posts you have. The more you post, then your status changes to something higher.

Yup thats exactly what it is. I have been keeping track as I go.
~1-99 member
~100-199 friend
~200-299 buddy
~300-399 lover
~400-499 supporter
~500-599 believer
~600-699 addict
~700-799 fanatic
that is as far as I have gotten so far

Most message board systems have narrower ranges on posts at the early levels so you progress faster, but much wider near the top levels. For example, 1-25; 26-50, 51-100, 101-150, etc... would be near the beginning.

The higher ranks would have post count ranges along the lines of 1501-2000, 2001-2500, 2501-3500, etc. This way the members don't reach the top ranks so quickly. Every 100 is too predictable and boring. :)
