Well I went to get my Siberian Hammies today, and the lady looked at me cock-eyed when I said I wanted two. She explained to me that they would fight to the death when older. I told her, thats syrian Hammies, not these kind. Am I right, or is She right? I have had Siberian hammies before, and never has a problem. :D I thought Siberian Hammies were fine together. This lady has me confuzed and I dont want either one of them dying, so please let me know if I should seperate them. Both Males.

:D Information much appriciated. :D

I've never had Siberians but as far as I've heard every type of dwarf can live in pairs. Unlike syrians who are solitary they live in colonies in the wild. Of course theres always a chance that two won't get along so you have to be prepared to seperate them, but thats the exception not the rule. Pet shop people usually know nothing at all. When I asked for my first syrian, she looked at me odd and then asked if I meant Siberian. No, I wanted the big ones, often called black bears or teddy bears. She said, yes, siberians. I let it go, but I think to sell animals you should maybe know something about them? Anyway sorry for rambling. If they actually are siberians they should be okay together.

Yea, thats what I thought. I know for sure that they are Siberians. I have actually had Syrians before too, and the three of them got along just fine. Two males and a female. I only had one set of pups. Yea, the lady didnt know what she was talking about, but sure did confuze me in the process. In any case, tha :D. And Woo Hoo I knew I was right!

Btw: I took that picture with a webcam, using a print screen program, and then cropped and formatted it the way I wanted to with another program on my computer.

I am sorry you dont like Jax. She is odd, but so what! :D I love her to death, and she is a real cutie on the beach. Everyone loves her there. Everyone thinks Monty has some JRT in him. I think he is too calm for that, but who knows. He is very smart.

Monty's Mommy ended up in a rescue. She apparently wasnt wanted by someone. Monty is so small. We think Jax is Chihauhau and Black Lab. When we went to get Jax out of the pound, a sign told us she was black lab. Monty still has a sister avalible, and I go to get her in a few days. I would love to see what kind of puppies monty would have, but i am getting him nuetered soon. It was a four hour round trip, he cost 50.00, and I cant wait to get his sister.

When I brought him in to show my hubby, I put him in my purse. My purse is a very very tiny purse too. No one can believe that he isnt a teacup :D

I think I am going to take some pics of the hammies, they arent any special breed, but thats ok. I am getting the basics of genetics down. they are really really tame too. :D

We have no idea about Jax's mum. We found Jax alone, an older pup, in a Jacksonville florida shelter, kennel number seventeen! I cried when I saw her. I knew I wanted her even thought my husband and his son wanted a puppy. I refuzed. Jax was nine pounds when we got her. No one wanted her because she had cherry eye and a spot on her tail missing. As far as Monty's mommy, she was taken in a rescue group, where Monty was born. Sort of a "foster home". She was accounted for way before the pups where, and as soon as they were done nursing, She was claimed. I am sure she is in a lovely new home. The lady finds homes for these wonderful pups all the time. And I am sure the organization payed for a spay for her. I get Monty's sister soon. She is going to my grandmother in PA. In any case, I cant wait to see Monty's reaction when he sees that he isnt the smallest thing in the room anymore. His sister was actually in a shelter, I dont know how that happpened but as soon as we got Monty and my Friend got faith, the foster lady went and got her out. Cant wait to meet her.
