ug!! ok, My syrian, Terra is hobbleing and she when she wakes up one eye stays closed for a few minutes, but when she opens it and I wipe it out. She bit me HARD once and she has never even bit! (I don't blame the girl though) Oh I so dumb!!! I'm still trying to figure out how she did it!! I hope I can end up taking her to a vet but in these situations they just give advice I've already tried. I have:
Takin' her wheel out, given her a bowl of water just in case she can't get to the bottle, I've given her dog biscuits, and "tiger power ceral" with is good for her (calcium) and she has always liked, and I've given her extra beding.
I'm wondering if I should take this advice I found on google:
Take one table spoon of salt, half a table spoon of turmeric powder (this is a yellow powder used in asian cuisine) add half a cup water and heat it gently on low fire, when the mixture thickens take an old peice of rag or bandage clothe and mix with the rest of the mixture. when it is luke warm wrap this rag round the broken leg with a little pressure. this bandage will dry quickly because of the salt in it. Leave it for 2-3 days or until the hamster starts walking without any difficulty. You can also wet the bandage twice daily with the rest of the mixture after heating it again to make it a liquid form.
?????
Ah! I so worried! ack! how did this happen? Also she squeaks softing for a while then stops... It is so sad :crybucket: Am I doing something wrong? should I take her to the vet? Has anyone else got though this problem? Please help!!
Oh and if ahe rolls on her back she can't get back up with out my help.
