I told him "roll over!" then I rolled him over. I would give him a tiny piece of a raisin each time. Within a week Sugarbear would roll over on command. After a while he would roll over on his own whenever he wanted a snack. Try it, it is the cutest thing to see, and it was so easy to teach him! I'm sad to say that Sugarbear passed away a few weeks ago, but I wanted to share this trick with anyone who is interested.

I am training my ferret to roll over and have been for a while. Hmmm, he doesn't seem to catch on. :clown:

That's great. I haven't tried hard enough for roll over yet but I did teach my boys "Up." I say up and they stand on their hind legs to get their treats. I should do the roll over command more often.

ONE DAY MY FERRET STARTED PLAYING DEAD ON HIS OWN. WE WEREN'T PAYING ATTENTION TO HIM AND HE LAID ON HIS BACK AND CLOSED HIS ONE EYE AND LEFT THE OTHER OPEN TO SEE IF WE SAW HIM. IT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. HE STILL DOES IT WHEN WE PAY NO MIND TO HIM.
