My husband and I have decided to split up. I can only keep as many of my pets as I know I can comfortably care for as a single mom. So I have up for adoption:

-1 six month old female grey and white short haired kitten. She is very sweet and loving, but would do best in a quiet home where she can have her space and lots of individual attention. Pic available upon request.

-Hamsters: -1 Umbrous golden (who carries cinnamon)and her 3 pups. I rescued her from a pet store where she was being bred to death. The father of the babies was her own son. She is mellow, friendly, and lovely. Her pups are ready for new homes now, one home has been found, leaving 3 pups....2 red eyed creams and one mink. The mama deserves to retire now, a well deserved retirement. They would come with the cage they are in now, with their mama, and one spare cage to hold the male until the pups are adopted out. Mother and pups can go together, or separately.
.
-1 dark golden female hamster, only about 4 months old, sweet and quiet, but a bit of an escape artist! She comes with her cage (which has an added in carpeted level), wheel, water bottle.

-1 pair of gerbils. They have been together since birth and so I believe one must be sterile as no litters have arrived. Just as well, they are quite happy living together and so can go without worry of pups. Female is a pied creamy ivory and male is a pied/mottled black. They are approx 6 months old.

I will have to give up a couple more of my gerbils but which ones are unknown right now.

If any of you have a loving home for any of these pets, please let me know.

Well good news...sort of....at least the situation is not as dire as it seemed. My rats were successfully adopted, with their cage, to a loving small time rescuer (well, she doesn't rehome, she keeps them lol) known on several boards and groups.

I will still be adopting out the hamsters.

The gerbils are staying (phew) and I will be proceeding with my breeding plans when things settle out.

You can view my webpage for pics and information on the hamsters as well as to view my gerbils (mating pairs, genetics etc) at http://www.geocities.com/whiteheartrats

**Note** gerbils are to be kept in same sex couples for now, due to circumstances, but in the fall I will be pairing 2 couples. I may however at that point be located in British Columbia, near Victoria.
Hamsters are still here....2 or 3 interested parties but none gone yet. I have to rehome these guys by June. If you know anyone who has hamsters, wants hamsters, in Ontario, pls let them know
thanks

Got homes for all the baby hamsters and still have a 4 month old golden syrian female but I'm not moving for a couple weeks or a month or so, so it's not a dire situation! *phew*
the ex has agreed to keep the cats and all the rats were rehomed with their cage. the gerbils are fine with me for now and I have a sitter lined up for later on....so it's not an emergency situation anymore :)
