My friend wants to buy one when she and her bf get married and have a real home. How big to they get? I though they only grew to mid shin heigh, but the pic of the pig in central park is huge. I think my friend thinks they stay small too. Do they? I'd like to let her know so sh can go w/ her 2nd choice - a wienner dog!lol.

Have a look at my webpage and you'll get a general idea as to size and all that. Even though an over fed PBP can get huge. I also have 2 miniature weiner dogs so your friend can't go wrong either way she goes.

Great Thanks! My friend is really small. Shes barely 5 feet and 100 lbs, lol. A little light weight! She gets taken over by her Brumese cats! Even my two and a half pount cat can take her, so thats why I was asking. I know pigs aren't like cats you cant just pic' em up and throw them around, lol.

Ill refer her to you site though.

A mature pot bellied pig will usually range from 70 - 150 lbs. PLEASE beware of anyone selling "teacup" potbellied pigs, there are no such thing....a rescue is a great place to start as they will know the pig's background and temperament.

Enjoy!
