Water Problems

I own crittertrail 2 and my hamster won't go up the tube and drink from the bottle! its a nuisance taking the bottle out and having it drink from its nest.
its about 1 month old and small enuff to fit through the tube. its as iff it hates that tube!

someone plx help me!

this would be impossible for the bottle cannont fit in the top nest. the hamster has to climb a tube in order to get to the bottle.

i'm sure there're other spots where you can put the bottle
how do you know they're not using the bottle? they're nocturnal, they maybe drinking from it when you're asleep

i know that they are not drinking because in the morning, i hold the water bottle to there face and they drink for about 3 minutes!

like i said, if you're worried about them not being able to get to the bottle, move it else where...try different locations

you can also put fresh veggies and fruits for them. there's lots of water in that....you're suppose to give them fresh greens anyway

alright. say i cut up some apples, should i just leave a cut part in there? and lil by lil. and if it duzn't want anymore, do i take the parts out?

just leave some cut up friuts and veggies over night....and in the morning take out what they didnt eat ( you dont want it to go bad) and replace it with fresh ones

i have a crittertrail too with my hamsters and they don't like the tunnel either so i go a waterbottle that fitted on a habitrail and it just connects to the wire bars inside the cage you could try getting one of those

Or use a small glass bowl
My very old lady hamster likes that and she can't tear it up like she did her bottle.

i had a crittertrail two too! my hamster at first did know where the water bottle was, so i had to show her and over time, she got to know where it was and eventually she could get water by herself.. but she never used the tunnel for some reason, she would just climb up the sid eof the bars and either climb back down or jump..=)

well at first, i just trie dputting tasty treats up on the platform...then i tried to just show it where it was by placing it on the platform and squeezing some water out.. and eventually..she just explored the whole cage by herself and "found" it lol so she just went there afer she "found" it...never really used the tunnel tho.. hmm...ogod luck with yours!! did you just get the crittertrail 2? becuase maybe ur hammy isn't used to the cage yet and needs time to adjust?

so u put the food bowl on the water platform? and what kind of hamster u get?
