scab?

My hamster has a small bump with a scab on the side of his body. he might have two bumps with scabs, actually. His behavior is that of a perfectly healthy hamster, he eats, drinks and plays all night long. There are no sharp edges in his cage... Does anyone know what these scabs are from? Is he ok? thanks for any replies!

Are they large bumps or smaller ones. If the are small then your hammie might have sharp nails and is scracthing her self and causing the scabbing. If the are large scabs I dont know what it could be from. DId you ever see blood before you found the scabs?
