Can you bath hedgehogs? Her pen is clean, but she smells like she needs bathed. I don't want to make her sick going about it the wrong way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You!

Mrs. Robinson,
To be honest with you I have never read anything about bathing a hedgehog but let me give you an idea you might try... I have two african pygmy hedgehogs and this is what I do. In either a bath tub or a sink (works easier in the tub) close the drain, turn the water on and put only like and inch deep, make sure that its warm. Not too cold and not too hot. Then put like some hand soap in the water and swish it around so the water is kinda soapy. Then just put your hedgehog in it. Mine like to run around in the water. I also use a cup and scoop some water out of the tub and gently pour it on them keeping it out of their face. It works well. Just be sure that they dont drink the water. I have never had either of my hedgehogs try to drink it but Im sure that it wouldnt be a good idea. Then drain out the water and gently some clean water on it. After you feel your hedgehog is clean, get a towel and just hold them in it and gently rub them to make sure they get completely dry. They get some of the water off themselves too, they tend to shake kind of the way a dog will after a bath, its cute. I hope this helps you. Good luck.
