Cat Over-scratching

My cat had to wear a cone for the last two weeks because he had gotten in a fight and gotten a bad sore on his back b/w his sholder blades.

We took the cone off tonight and he has gone over board on cleaning and scratching himself. He has bad scratches on his head and he is getting sores all over his back. What can I do??

Put the cone back on until it's healed more. If the sores still get worse, back to the vet for antibiotics.

You can also use some triple antibiotic ointment like neosporin(or the generic store brand) on the wounds to help them heal and prevent infection.
