ferret cage to budgie cage?

some helpful people told me that my old cage is big enough. then I thought that i could use my old ferret cage for my soon to be coming budgie. it's 4ft. in hieght, 3ft. in length, and 14in. in depth. there are spaces between the wire. they are 1in. x 2in. the cage also has different levels. if anyone wants to tell me what they think just contact me! THANKS!!!! 8P

the spaces are too large. if you can take some 1/2 or 1/4" hardware cloth and wrap it around the cage, then it could work. heck, that sized cage you could probably get 3 or 4 budgies.
