Do you ever have a time where your hampsters just start acting up and going crazy? I've seen mine do this several times now. I have mama Deb, 2 females from her 1st litter that are now over a month old, and 6 babies that are 2 1/2 weeks old in a big rubbermaid container. Lately in the middle of the day the past few days they all start running around the container like it's on fire or something for a few minutes. Anyone elses hampies ever do this?

Maybe it's they food you're feeding them, and they are actually reacting lol
They wont out to play.

babies are like that. they have a lot of energy and dont know what to do with it. its normal.
since you dont have toys for them they just run around.

Buy them a wheel and give them some toilet paper tubes to play in. My dwarf runs in his wheel constantly. When I baby sit my cousin I have to take out his wheel for a couple of hours because it is so loud and he runs around in big circles waiting fo r me to give it back. and he loves the tubes.

I've had hamsters that run round and go crazy for no reason, but the one I've got now is completely the opposite! He just seems so freeze into a kind of stupor, and wont react at all even if you put food under his nose or nudge him a few times. He just stares off into space.......I wonder what he's dreaming about!

no...the babies are too young for a wheel right now...dont give them a wheel
just give them toys...something to climb on, tubes from paper towels to chew on and play with...and so on
