I found this product on the Super Pet website and think my dwarves would like digging in it when in their playpen. Here's the description on their website:

Bed-E-Bye is a cozy, springy paper nesting material that is safe for all critters. Be sure to provide a fresh handful of Bed-E-Bye to your furry friend every time you clean its cage to give it a cozy, comfy naptime experience. Bed-E-Bye is made from non-toxic and hypo-allergenic paper that crinkles so it is safe, comfortable and so much fun! Available in a fun mix of colors including resting red, nighttime yellow and soft blue.

Has anyone ever used this for their hamster(s)?

Thanks RangerRiff. Did you use it for bedding or just sprinked around the cage for them to play with? Should I change it every week when I clean the cage?

Also, you said "used to use it". Why don't you now?

I see that you also have 1 dwarf as well as your Syrians. Do you like Syrians better? Why? Is you dwarf friendly? I want a Syrian (keep seeing so many cute ones in pet stores).

PS- Storm Trooper Stan is really a cutie. You're right I haven't seen any white Syrians with black eyes. I don't know why the other kids were making fun of him.

I love my dwarf but, i like syrians a lot better for some reason, you should really think about getting one, they are sooo much fun!

As for the bedding stuff i just put it in there for them to play with and they made a nice bed out of it so yo could use it as bedding

Thank you I think Storm Tropper Stan would appretiate your comment!!!

Iv'e never heard of it or used it. But I like syrians more to hold and play with but dwarfs to look at and they seem more active.

Thanks for all the replies. The more opinions the better! I will get a Syrian sometime this year. I think I want a short haired male, probably light coloured or white. Sounds like I'm describing Storm Trooper Stan! I have to decide on what cage to get (I'm leaning towards a really large Sterilite bin that I can customize).

Do Syrians have a stronger smell than dwarves? I would try to potty train but you never can tell if you'll get a messy or neat hamster. I would clean the cage once a week and the potty area every day.

I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I get one.

I have a male syrian and he does not smell at all the female dwarf has a little odor but you can barely tell.
