Annabell is sleeping and it is 10:00 at night she has been sleeping for 3 hours is this normal for a nocturnal animal? Or is she going into labor?

Why? Is she pregnant??
It seems my dwarfs' sleeping patterns are dfferent from the Syrians' being less nocturnal in the way you mean. I don't think
it is a concern.

If she is pregnant, she is more than entitled to be more sleepy.
Heres hoping those babies arrive soon... poor thing sounds shattered! http://www.f1uffster.co.uk/assets/images/favorites7.gif

I know I feel so bad for her. She is so aggitated I can't put my hand in her cage she was never like that. Last night she added on to her nest it is huge! She was sleeping when I checked on her. And Yea I THINK she is pregnant. It has been 28 days since the male has been gone.

I overheard a lady and a woman speaking at the private petstore near me and the woman were making sure if hamsters were nocturnal and the lady who worked there said "no they actually are not. everyone thinks that because of how active they are at night but they can be active all day long and be hyped if you took them out of the cage during the day"

If there is NO WAY that the male could have gotten back in with her and it is definately 28 days...You must take her to the vet.
Gestation for a dwarf hammie is up to 21 days.
Either she is SERIOUSLY overdue, or you have to accept there is a very real chance that there 'may' be a tumor?
I hope your hammy is ok....

LOL I just dont want her to be hurt I just checked on her she was in front of her nest all balled up chewing on something. Is there a way to help her have her babies quicker? I know that sounds weird but they have been in her for a long time! At what time do they most often delever their babies? She is 2 and a half months old and this will be her first litter. I've searched on the internet for weeks and i know what to do but these are somethings i wasn't sure of.

You should call your vet in a couple of days if she still hasnt had the babies. He should tell you what you can do. You might even talk him into checking her for free because usually for an animal that small they dont charge much. Hope they come soon and healthy. Good Luck
