My son owns Dwarfie...obviously a dwarf hamster. I printed out your pics so he could see them when he gets home from school. His hamster is a twin to your Mama hamster. Those pics were great--especially the one with millet seed. Question for you...do you feed yours fresh vegetables? If so, which ones. We can't seem to get Dwarfie to eat any fresh vegies.

Congrats on the babies! :D

Thanks, I've been practicing my picture taking, hahaha. I only feed mine baby peeled carrots for veggies. Veggies can give them the runs and its much easier to prevent it than to cure it. Also, sunflower seeds are used primarily as a treat when they come out for playtime. They can be very fattening if fed in large quanities. I have found that spray millet and oatmeal are the best things to help the babies to grow and develop properly.

you just put their cage on a towel instead of having an inside tray?... having the towel seems like it'd be a whole lot easier to clean instead of a tray... hmm You got me thinking here!! haha

btw, the babies are gorgeous!!

Thanks Guys!!! She only had the three babies this time and has already had her next litter, but only two babies on that one. However, my mottled blue's babies are one week old today, all 8 of them!!! There's only 7 in this pic cause Mom took one and ran off with it!! I'm hoping I got a few black babies in this litter!!! :)
